Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you use PCBEditor, we collect information you provide directly (such as your email address and account details when you register), usage data (pages visited, features used, circuit designs created), and technical data (browser type, device type, IP address). If you accept product analytics, we also assign your browser a random identifier so we can understand how the product is used before you create an account. It is generated by us, is not derived from you or your device, and can be cleared on request.

2. How we use your information

3. Data storage and security

Your circuit designs and account data are stored on servers operated by RoboDIB. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the product is used. Analytics data is anonymised where possible. You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a browser extension that blocks analytics.

We also run our own product analytics. This is on by default from your first visit, and you can turn it off at any time — with the button at the end of this section, or by writing to us. Turning it off does not restrict any part of the product.

What it records: which controls you use, which pages you open, how far through a design run you get, whether that run succeeded or was abandoned, and your device type and interface mode. Each event carries a random identifier we generate for your browser. Once you sign in, events from that browser are linked to your account.

What it never records: your prompts, your conversations with the AI, or the contents of your designs. Those are part of the service itself and are stored separately — they are never copied into analytics. Analytics holds only pre-defined event names and short values such as counts and stage names, never free text you have written.

Why we keep it: to find broken flows and failed designs so we can fix them, and to tell whether a fix actually worked — which means comparing against how things behaved before.

How long: we retain these records indefinitely, because their value is in long-term comparison. They are deleted when you ask us to.

Turning it off: use the button below and collection stops immediately on this device, including anything not yet sent. To have your existing analytics history erased as well, contact [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days.

5. Third-party services

PCBEditor uses Google (authentication, analytics), Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection), and RoboDIB's own API backend. Each of these services has its own privacy policy that governs their data handling.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of PCBEditor after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
